Intercall

Web conferencing refers to a service that allows conferencing events to be shared with remote locations. What this means is that you can have a meeting with business associates while they’re in another location. It saves money as they wouldn’t have to fly out to where you are and is an efficient way of saving information as the meetings can be recorded.

You can schedule meetings by sending participants invitations from your Outlook or Lotus Notes Calendar for easy, one-click access to your meeting. This is effiecent as many business associates use these main email services. You can also host your remote meetings without the need of reservations. The moderators of the conference receive their own meeting room for participants of their choice to join.

Real Time Information

Real time information is information that is frequently updated to reflect current happenings. (Source: highered.mcgraw-hill.com)

Examples of Real Time Information: News on TV, RSS Feeds, Weather Forecast, Train Times

What is the cost and availability of ferry crossing from Calais to Dover this weekend?

Fares to Doves for one passenger (16+) with no vehicle costs £29.50 and is available from 00:20 and takes 30 minutes for the journey

The real time information system I used to get to my selected result was a search engine.

The purpose of the real time information system I used was to check fare prices and availability to ferry rides.

The advantage of the system I used was that it’s fast, easy, reliable and always up to date.

A disadvantage is that it isn’t available offline and you have to flick through the times if you want a fare of an earlier time.

A non-internet alternative is to go read through the ferry timetable leaflet or go the actual counter to query them.
